Potable Water – Luxury Or Necessity ?

Water – one of the most precious treasures of the planet. Thousands of years people admired, admires and enjoys the water. No wonder our planet dubbed the blue ball. Most of the almost 80%, the earth's surface is covered with oceans and seas. This is mostly salt water. Fresh water is only 2.5% of world reserves. Currently, the problem of pollution of rivers, lakes and seas is most urgent.

The growth of man-made pressures on the environment has led to a global pollution of surface water sources. Clean water in rivers and lakes has become a privilege of the few mountainous, northern and remote regions of industrial civilization. There were times when the water from our taps to be clean, delicious and safe to drink. Times change. For various reasons (the growth of urban construction, harmful emissions into the environment, aging, communication and natural disasters) tap water is becoming less safe and fit for human consumption. Now the water is a carrier of germs has a high level of heavy metals and other contaminants that accumulate in the body and detrimental impact on our health. Clear as tap water to such an extent that it is useful to human body, not in a position not only Russia but also the richest country in the world. Reasons – purely economic. Therefore, not surprising that every fourth to fifth test tap water in Russia does not meet sanitary and chemical requirements. Recently, we increasingly began to reflect on what water we drink.
